The Romanian Government decided to lay off over 2,000 employees in the energy companies under the subordination of the Economy Ministry in 2009, who will further receive severance pays.Thus, the list with layoffs recently approved by the Government includes: Romania’s state-owned brown coal mining company – Societatea Nationala a Lignitului Oltenia, SNLO, with 600 employees, Autonomous Regie for Nuclear Operations, , with 306 employees, Termoelectrica, with 200 persons, Turceni ...
