Romania spent 2.7% of GDP 2007 for environmental protection

Expenses for the environment in Romania rose to some €3.3 million in 2007, or 2.7 percent of the country's gross domestic product (GDP), up 0.4 percent year-on-year, according to the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
