Romania's approved CO2 quota below Bucharest's proposal

EU Commission okayed for Romania a carbon dioxide (CO2) quota of 75.9 million tones for 2007, by 20.7 percent less than the initial proposal, with the special occasion of establishing the national plans for allotment of carbon dioxide emissions, the European Ombudsman web page informs.The reduction was 34.7 percent for Bulgaria.The Commission also approved the amendments for Germany's quotas.
