Romania may become energy independent if it capitalizes mineral resources of Black Sea

Romania might become autonomous from an energy point of view if it capitalizes the 800 million tonnes of hydrogen sulfide existing in the Black Sea, said last Friday at a TV channel Iulian Iancu, chairman of the Committee on Industries with the Chamber of Deputies. Iancu's statement occurs in the context of the confirmation of the transaction through which a company held by businessman Dinu Patriciu leased in 2008 a part of the continental shelf in the Black Sea.
