PM Orban: We will try to identify fastest solutions to unblock gas drilling in the Black Sea
Prime Minister Ludovic Orban on Wednesday sent a message to the investors in the energy sector that the new Government will try to identify the fastest solutions to unblock the major offshore gas projects in the Black Sea.
He attended the new Minister of Economy, Energy and Business Environment Virgil Popescu's portfolio takeover ceremony.
"In economy, our main objective is to regain the trust of the business environment in the Government. (...) For we are dealing with a legislative mess. For instance, in the offshore field they [the former government - editor's note] caused delays in carrying out the investments in the exploitation of the gas resources in the Black Sea, which negatively affects the Romanian economy. As far as we are concerned, we will move as fast as possible to find solutions to unblock these important projects for Romania," said Orban.
