Overhead electricity of 400 kV between Resita and Pancevo (Serbia) will be inaugurated next week

The construction works of the Overhead Electricity (LEA) 400 kV for the interconnection Resita (Romania) –Pancevo (Serbia) were finalised, the national company for electricity transport Transelectrica will inaugurate the investment of 81.39 million lei on Tuesday 15 May.

The Romanian part of LEA 400  kV Resita – Pancevo is made in the variant double circuit  and crosses 11 localities in the Caras-Severin county: Re?i?a, Ezeri?, Lupac, Dognecea, Goruia, Ticvaniu Mare, Berli?te, Ciudanovi?a, Gr?dinari, V?r?dia ?i Vrani.

The contract regarding the construction LEA 400 kV Resita – Pancevo was signed in June 2014, and the total value when signing the contract is almost 81.39 million lei.

The line has a length on the Romanian territory of 63 km and 206 poles. The length of the line on the Serbian territory is 68 km.

LEA 400 kV Resita – Pancevo is designed by the Institute for  Electricity Studies and Projects and the works were made by Electromontaj,with subcontractor on the part of constructins EMFOT Montaj SA.The consultant for the project was Roeng TEC.

The event will be attended on the part of the government by representatives of the local authorities and specialists in the contracting and collaborating companies.

Transelectrica is the Transport and system operator in Romania which manages, operates,maintains, modernises and develops the transport grid which covers 81 electrical transformation stations with a capacity of almost 38,000 MVA and 8,834.4 km overhead electricity lines 110/220kV, 400 kV and 750 kV under management of eight transport branches.

The company has almost 2,200 employees and is under the authority of the ministry of economy.

Transelectrica has capitalisation of 1.6 billion lei.
