Naftogaz and Rompetrol signed a preliminary agreement for a filling stations network in Ukraine
The Ukrainian state company Naftogaz and Rompetrol Group signed a memorandum for cooperation which includes among others the setting up of a joint company which should create and develop a network of filling stations in the main regions and cities of Ukraine.
“In the future, we hope to bring the number of filling stations of this joint project to 700. At the same time, we will offer our clients both premium fuel and economical one” the vice-chairman of the Naftogaz Yevhen Korniiciuk said in a press release.
The memorandum includes the increase of the Naftogaz capacity to transport oil and oil products, the creation and development of a market system of logistics for oil products, the improvement of quality standards and the introduction of an advanced technology for European marketing on the Ukrainian market of oil products.
The general manager Rompetrol Zhanat Tussupbekov stated that the group has been present on the Ukrainian market of oil products since 2009 and he considers it as a priority.
Rompetrol Group is represented in Ukraine by Rompetrol Ukraine with the headquarters in Odessa which delivers oil products from Petromidia in Romania.
Rompetrol Group, owned by the group KazMunaiGaz in Kazahstan has the headquarters in Amsterdam and operates in 12 countries, with assets in France, Romania, Spain and the south-east of Europe.
