Moody’s keeps the rating for Transelectrica at Ba1 with positive perspective
The National Company for electricity transport Transelectrica SA obtained for the third year in a row the rating Ba1(Corporate Family Rating) with positive perspective, from the evaluation agency Moody’s Investors Service announced on Wednesday the company. Thus, Moody’s keeps, for 2020 the rating CNTEE Transelectrica SA with an improvement of the rating at the individual level from Ba2 to Ba1.
The Ba1 rating with positive perspective reflects a limited business risk profile for CNTEE Transelectrica SA taking into consideration the strategic importance of the company for natural monopoly, in the context of the continuous improvement of the regulation framework, the press release sent on Wednesday says.
According to the quoted source, the rating of the company at individual level (Baseline Credit Assessment) had an improvement going up from Ba2 to Ba1. The individual level represents the capacity of a company to face financial obligations without the support of the government.

The National Company for Transport of Electricity Transelectrica SA is the operator for transport and system in Romania which manages, operates, maintains, modernizes and develops the transport grid which covers 81 transformer units and 8,834.3 km of overhead power lines of 110/220 kV, 400 kV and 750 kV in the management of eight transport branches.
