Lands on which pipelines and natural gas transport facilities are located remain state property

President Klaus Iohannis promulgated, on Friday, the normative act regarding the completion of art. 125 of the Electricity and Natural Gas Law no. 123/2012.

The law provides that the lands on which constructions and pipelines for natural gas transport are located are and remain the public property of the state.

"The lands on which the surface technological installations related to the National Natural Gas Transportation System are located, consisting of pipes, installations, devices, equipment, related equipment and constructions, necessary for carrying out the activity of natural gas transportation are and remain in the public property of the state for the duration of the existence of the national transportation system," the promulgated normative act states.
