Internal crude oil production will grow in the following three years to 3.89 million tonnes of oil
Romania's crude oil production will grow constantly in the following three years to 3.89 million tonnes of oil equivalent (toe) in 2019, while the natural gas imports will increase up to 7.61 million toe in the same period, according to the Energy Balance Prognosis (EBP) released in June by the National Prognosis Committee (CNP).
So, the crude oil production will have a yearly growth by 1.6pct, from 3.71 mln toe in 2016 to 3.77 mln toe in 2017, 3.83 mln toe in 2018 and 3.89 mln toe in 2019.
Likewise, according to the CNP estimates, the natural gas imports will grow from 6.8 mln toe in 2016, to 7.07 mln toe in 2017 (plus 4pct), to 7.34 mln toe in 2018 (plus 3.8pct) and 7.61 mln toe in 2019 (plus 3.7pct).
The crude oil imports will count for 59.6pct of the total imports of raw energy resources in 2017, 60.5pct in 2018 and 61.4pct in 2018.
Romania's energy resources in 2017 will stand to 42.065 mln toe, up by 1.2pct compared to this year, according to the EBP analysis released by the CNP.
Out of the total energy resources, 40.665 mln toe are raw energy resources, of which production is 25.945 mln toe, imports are 11.87 mln toe and 2.95 mln toe represent the stocks from the beginning of the year. Likewise, 1.4 mln toe is the energy transformation stock.
For the following two years, the energy resources will be growing by 1.3pct per annum, reaching 42.605 mln toe in 2018 and 43.165 mln toe in 2019.
