Iberdrola expands wind and nuclear energy plans in Romania

Spanish power company Iberdrola's president, Ignacio Galan, met Romanian economy minister Ion Ariton Wednesday to discuss plans to expand the company's wind and nuclear portfolio in the Eastern European country, Iberdrola said. Iberdrola has been given the go-ahead by the Romanian power grid operator Transelectrica to harvest 1,500 MW of wind power through 50 wind farms to bebuilt in the Dobrogea region between 2011 and 2017.
