Government: state aids for closing down the non-competititve mines in the CE Hunedoara and Valea Jiului
The government approved on this Wednesday the granting of state aids for the closing down of the non-competitive coal mines in the Complex Energetic Hunedoara and the Societatea Nationala de Inchideri Mine Valea Jiului SA announced on Wednesday the spokesperson of the government Nelu Barbu.
‘The government approved two government decisions, at the proposal of the ministry of energy, regarding the approval of granting state aids to facilitate the closing down of the non-competitive coal mines in the Complex Energetic Hunedoara and Societatea Nationala de Inchideri Mine Valea Jiului SA (…) For Complex Energetic Hunedoara the ministry of energy proposed a state aid of 60.6 million lei. The state aid is in accordance with the requirements of the European Commission. Similarly, to close down the non-competitive mines in SNIMValea Jiului SA for 2019. Romania and the European Commission convened in 2012 a plan regarding the closing down of the mines, and now a state aid was granted of 52.7 million lei’ stated Nelu Barbu at the end of the government meeting.
