GDF Suez Romania changes its name into Engie Romania
The distributor and supplier of gas and electricity GDF Suez Romania becomes officially on Monday Engie Romania, in the process of rebranding at international level, according to a press release of the company.
‘In September 2015, GDF Suez Energy Romania announces the change of the brand in Romania into Engie, as a normal stage in the rebranding process of GDF Suez in Engie. To continue the process of rebranding, starting with 28 March 2016 changes to the social name of the company GDF Suez Energy Romania – the entity in which the activity of supplying natural gas, electricity and services for the household users and industrial users who own shares to other branches – in Engie Romania’ according to the press release.
Starting on Monday Distrigaz Confort, the branch for energy services will be renamed Engie Services. The branch has been active since 2009 on the Romanian market, with a portfolio of 650,000 users for integrated energy services for safety and confort ( the maintenance of the natural gas and thermal units installations) and energy efficiency.
The social name of the branch for natural gas distribution Distrigaz Sud Retele, will be unchanged similar to those of the production branches – Braila Winds and Alizeu Eolian.
The group of companies Engie Romania has a portfolio of 1.6 million clients, operating a network of 18,500 km, with a production capacity of energy from renewable sources of 100 MW and has approximately 3,650 employees.
