Final consumption of electricity rises 2.7 percent in 2006

Final consumption of electricity in 2006 stood at 50.348 billion KWh, up 2.7 percent from 2005, with public lightning and the population reporting consumption up 6.2 percent and 5.3 percent respectively, say data from the National Statistics Institute.
