Electrica loses energy exporter from Serbia: Rudnap asked to withdraw supply license
The Serbian company Rudnap, which exported significant quantities of energy from Romania to Serbia between 2010-2011, asked ANRE to withdraw the supply license after stopping its activity in the energy market.
The Rudnap license was withdrawn on Wednesday by ANRE. The company bought energy from Electrica which it sold for export. The contract was granted directly without any tenders.
Electrica bought the energy sold to the Serbian company from state producers Hidroelectrica, Nuclearelectrica and Turceni and Rovinari thermo-power plants, all pf them controlled by the Ministry of Economy.
The Rudnap business in Romania grew in 20122 to 135 million euro from 76 million euro in 2010.
