E-DISTRIBUTIE DOBROGEA COMPLETED THE MODERNISATION OF THE ABATOR PRIMARY STATION IN CONSTANTA
E-Distributie Dobrogea has completed the modernisation project of the Abator primary station in Constanta, following investment of approximately 12 million lei, which will improve the distribution service quality for about 26,000 customers.
The high to medium voltage 110/20/10 kV station will now provide improved services to household and industrial consumers in the south-east area of the city of Constanta, in the perimeter of Peninsula Portul Turistic, Primarie, Gara, Abator, Far, Viile Noi, CET, Km 4-5, Km 5, Faleza Sud. The Abator station serves approximately 19% of the low-voltage customers in Constanta (mostly households) and 18 large business customers, powered via the medium voltage grids.
The modernisation works included the replacement of all the primary high voltage equipment and all the secondary circuits with the latest technologies, in order to ensure higher technical capabilities, improve network reliability and optimise the maintenance operations.
Moreover, the capacity of the station was increased, as the 20/10 kV transformers was amplified from 10 MVA to 16 MVA, which will significantly reduce the number of disconnected customers in case of a fault.
The projects are part of a large investment plan conducted by E-Distributie companies in Romania to improve the quality of the services offered to customers, by upgrading and retrofitting the electrical stations, the distribution power grid and by implementing Enel group's environmental standards.
