Competition Council analyses takeover of Forte Gaz GN supplier by Premier Energy
The Competition Council announced on Thursday that it analyses the transaction by which Premier Energy, former Petrom Distribution will take over single control over the supplier of Forte Gaz GN.
The concentration operation consists of the purchase by Premier Energy of all social parts of Forte Gaz GN from the present associates, Trade Invest Capital and Mihai Ionut Vilt.
“According to provisions of competition law no. 21/1996, republished, the operation suggested is an economic concentration which exceeds the amounts provides by law, undergoing control of the Competition Council” the authority shows in a press release.
The Competition Council will evaluate this economic concentration to establish compatibility with a normal competition environment, and will issue a decision in period stipulated by law.
Premier Energy was set up in 2007, as Petrom Distributie Gaze, then controlled by OMV Petrom.
In 2013, Ligatne Ltd, Cyprus took over control over the company from OMV Petrom, by signing a session accord for social parts. The group of companies Premier Energy belongs to is active in the natural gas supply and distribution markets.
Forte Gaz GN is a company active in the natural gas supply market.
