Black Sea Oil &Gas received the agreement ACROPO for the development of the area MIdia from the Black Sea

The Authority for the Regulation of Oil Offshore Operations at the Black Sea (ACROPO) finalized the evaluation of the documentation corresponding to the drafting regarding the development of the Midia area, draft developed by the Black Sea Oil & Gas and gave their agreement so that the draft goes further, according to a press release of the institution.

Further on, the ministry of energy must issue the document for the authorization of the offshore works.

At the same time, the press release says that ACROPO is under evaluation of the installation Productive PFS-4, evaluation process which will continue for all Productive installations which belong to the operator OMV Petrom.

The general objective of ACROPO is represented by the limitation of the accident occurrence as a result of the oil operations in areas of the Black Sea under the jurisdiction of Romania.

At the same time, the project Midia Gas Development consists in drilling five production wells ( a submarine well at Doina and four production wells at Ana)a submarine production unit on the Doina ore which will be connected through a pipeline of 18 km to the production platform monitored and operated from the shore, placed on the Ana ore. A submarine pipeline of 126 km will ensure the transport of gas from the Ana platform on the shore to the new gas treatment unit (STG).

Black Sea Oil &Gas SRL owned by Carlyle International Energy Partners and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is an independent  oil and gas company with its headquarters in Romania which deals with exploration, development and exploitation of conventional resources of oil and natural gas. At present, the portfolio of the company is made from the concessions regarding the areas XVMidia –the water area of shallow depth and XIII Pelican, situated on the continental platform of the Black Sea where BSOG owns a share of 65% and the position of operator.

Gas Plus owns a share of 15% in the concession regarding the areas XV Midia – Shallow Water Area and XIII Pelican while the private group of investments Petro Ventures has a share of 20%.

More
