Austrian company takes over Carom

Austrian Energy Bio Chemicals has won the tender for the sale of Carom company of Onesti, the sole synthetic rubber producer in Romania, on a RON 77.894 million (some 21.1 million euros) bid, almost RON 29 million more then the starting price. Bulgarian Energetics, another bidder, offered RON 77.4 million. The tender was carried out in 58 bidding steps of RON 439,000 each.
