Tourism: The hotel market has been hit hard by the pandemic and is expected to fully recover by 2024
Until 2023, 20 new hotels could be delivered to the market in Romania, approximately 50% of them being situated in the capital city, show the Chairry Design&Furniture estimates, company specialized on the segment of fit-out – complete interior design and furniture solutions.
The company signed in 2021 and in the first part of 2022 interior design for over 3,500 square metres of hotels and restaurants in Romania.
‘The hotel market was strongly affected by the pandemics over the last two years and expects to come back completely until 2024. Almost 20 new hotels could be delivered on the market in Romania until 2023, approximately 50% of them being situated in Bucharest, according to the official announcements of the operators’ the company says.
Similarly, the data available at European level show a tendency for accelerated growth of the travel in 2022. Thus, tourists intend to spend 39% more on travel this year than in 2019, and a part of the European tourists will be absorbed in Bucharest as well and in the big cities of Romania.
Chairry Design &Furniture, a Romanian entrepreneurial company has been operating for over 20 years on the local market and is specialised in design and interior design as well as in the supply of imported or locally produced furniture solutions.
