Telecom. IT: Telekom Romania's outdoor mobile internet up 112% in Q2

Telekom Romania saw its average outdoor mobile internet speeds for download increase to 31.25 Mbps in Q2 from 14.74 Mbps in the previous quarter thanks to its network sharing agreements entered into with Orange Romania on 20 May, writes local paper Ziarul Financiar citing Q2 data from local telecommunications authority Ancom.

One of the deals gives Telekom access to Orange Romania's LTE network. However, its indoor mobile internet speeds grew to 17.26 Mbps from 14.45 Mbps in Q1. Local analysts believe that this shows that the agreement with Orange only includes outdoor coverage.
