Summer holidays in Bulgaria cheaper by 10% this year. In Romania prices go up by 5%
Bulgarian hotel owners announced pries 10% lower for 2020 for summer months, compared to last year, while offers in Romania will grow by 5% according to travel consultants.
Representatives of travel agencies in Romania consider that Black Sea vacations will be cheaper because pf the bankruptcy of the oldest travel agency in the world, Thomas Cook.
“When left without western tourists in the summer of 2019, Bulgarian hotel owners adapted to demand and dropped this year's prices. In exchange, when we speak about Romanian sea coast, lower offers are in off season, while for summer month offers Romanians will have to pay 5% more,” specialists say.
The director of a travel agency says that sales for summer holidays in Romania on the Black Sea coast are growing by 25%-30% but prices will grow by 5% against the previous year.
Consultants in the field consider that offers in Romania have not known the price drops enjoyed by tourists who go to Bulgaria and that is why Romanian hotel owners still keep the same prices.
