Romania receives almost 35m euros from exports of live animals, poultry in Q1

Romania received from the exports of live animals and poultry almost 35 million euros in Q1 2011, up by 4.7% compared with the same period in 2010 (33.37 million euros), according to data sent by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MADR). Thus, in Q1 2011, as many as 16,725 tonnes of live animals and poultry were exported to the EU market and extra-EU one, especially cattle, sheepgoats, chickens, duck and geese, as well as horses, donkeys and mules.
