The European Commission might allow Romania to resume exports of pork and pork products on the EU market, following a request addressed by Romanian authorities in June.Romania's pork exports on the EU market have been banned since 2003 due to swine plague.The Romanian Department for European Affairs (DAE) said in a press release that EU checkups will soon be carried out to see the development of the disease after Romania halted vaccination.
