Romanian new car registrations more than doubled to 8,875 units in April from 4,027 units a month earlier, boosted by the government-funded cash for clunkers program, the Automotive Manufacturers and Importers Association, or APIA, said ."The (monthly) increase is spectacular, the first of this magnitude in the past years," APIA vice-president Constantin Stroe told MEDIAFAX.
