Rabla 2011: About 8,000 cars scapped and almost 13,000 new cars bought by now

Almost 80,000 cars older than 10 years were scrapped through the 'Rabla' scrappage programme by August 18, whereas the number of the new cars purchased through the same programme reached about 13,000, reveal the data sent by the Environment Fund Administration (AFM).The AFM data also reveal that 12,942 cars were purchased by mid-August through the 'Rabla 2011' scrappage programme, 197 percent more than the May figures, when there were 4,355 cars bought.
