Romanian farmers have submitted, in the period March 1 to May 16, 2011, a number of 1.04 million payment requests for an area of about 9.2 million hectares, under the requests campaign for the Single area payment scheme SAPS 2011, announced on Tuesday, in a press conference, Director General of the Agency for Payments and Intervention for Agriculture (APIA), Florin Marius Faur.
