Infrastructure: Transport Ministry: 115 km of highway built over 2017-2019; 180 km to be built in 2019
115 km of highway were built in the last two years, 2017-2019 and the value of projects launched by the National Company Managing Infrastructure amounts to 7 billion lei, according to a report presented by transport minister Razvan Cuc.
The absorption of European funds over the same period was 593.05 million euro.
The most important projects launched by CNAIR in the last two years include Sibiu-Pitesti Highway (123 km of 3.4 billion euro), Bucharest South Beltway (52 km, 580 million euro) and Bacau Beltway (31 km, 142 million euro).
The feasibility study for Expressway Bacau-Piatra Neamt is in the tender procedure (61 km, 3.41 million euro).
According to data presented by the minister on Thursday, contracts were signed in 2018 for feasibility studies and technical projects for speedways Focsani-Buzau (110 km, 4.37 million euro), Ploiesti-Buzau (65km, 2.67 million euro), Bacau- Pascani (82 km, 4.41 million euro), Buzau-Focsani (72 km, 3.03 million euro).
