Infrastructure: Ministry: infrastructure projects to be completed and commissioned this year
Catalin Drula, the minister of transports and infrastructure, presented on Friday, at his first press conference since investment, infrastructure projects to be completed and commissioned this year.
Projects to be completed in 2021:

Lot 2 of Sebes-Turda highway, the last 29 km of the project;

Ungheni-Targu Mures four lane highway project for 10 km;

Craiova-Pitesti Expressway, section 2 of 42 km, a segment that goes around Slatina and Bals

4 km Expressway to Giurgiu between Giurgiu customs and National Road 5;
-
resuming works abandoned at Mihailesti belt;
-
Satu Mare beltway of 12 km built as expressway;
-
Deva-Oradea National Road, the last 44 km under construction in the last 9-10 years;
-
Mogosoaia passage on Bucharest beltway;
-
Chetani-Campia Turzii lot, which could be technically completed in 2021, but the builder has financial difficulties.
The minister said about the last project presented that he asked the company to present a solution as soon as possible.
“I would prefer to go forward with a solution to have the lot in traffic this year and have contractors get their money. Since things have been delayed for months finally we need a decision,” Drula said.
Projects to be started in 2021:

Sibiu-Pitesti highway, lot 5;
-
Craiova- Pitesti Expressway, section 3, from Slatina to Pitesti;

Bucharest Beltway A0, lots 1 and 3;
-
90 km from Transylvania Highway, between Cluj Napoca and Oradea;
-
several variants surrounding Targu Jiu; a 10 km connection road to Timisoara; other smaller projects.
There are other projects in the tender stage and the minister hopes tenders will be completed: Lugoj-Deva, lot 2, northern lots on Bucharest Beltway, sections missing from Sibiu-Pitesti highway.
Other projects have documentations in execution and tenders must be initiated for works.
