Infrastructure: Minister Rus: We start building bridge Braila – Galati over Danube next spring
Works for the bridge over the Danube, in Braila-Galati area, will start in spring 2016, said the minister of transports Ioan Rus. “There was a tender and we hope that this year will be devoted to feasibility studies, technical project, etc, so that next spring we will be able to start the project,”Rus explained.
Rus recently met representatives of local authorities from Galati and Braila counties to discuss priority projects of road infrastructure to be implemented in the two counties, a press release shows.
According to the source, one of those projects is building the bridge over the Danube, included in the General Transport Master Plan of 246 million euros, to be implemented over 2014-2020.
The General Transport Plan has in view to make traffic easier in Galati, Braila and Tulcea areas, having in view existing transport networks, connecting Galati and Tulcea to Constant county, the minister mentioned.
Concerning the bridge over the Danube at Braila, CNADNR announces it will make known the winner of the tender for the revision of the feasibility study for the project and in the next stage it will carry out the legal procedure for signing the works execution contract.
