Infrastructure : easyJet to operate Bucharest - London flights, as of October 17, 2013
easyJet airline will operate flights from Henri Coanda Bucharest International Airport to London Gatwick as of October 17, 2013, the air carrier has informed.
Bucharest will thus become the newest point of easyJet's extensive network of destinations across Europe. easyJet will operate the Bucharest - London Gatwick flights throughout the year by an Airbus A319 airliner, with a frequency of four weekly flights, on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, for tariffs starting at 44.25 euros per flight, all charges included.
'easyJet is delighted to launch this new service between Henri Coanda Bucharest International Airport and London Gatwick. Romania becomes the 34th country in our portfolio of over 630 holiday and business destinations, served by over 130 airports in Europe. We expect to carry a number of 50,000 passengers in the first year of operation,' said Paul Simmons, easyJet UK executive.
The airline manages Europe's No. 1 air transport network, being at the same time the leader of Europe's top 100 routes and on the 50-largest airports on that continent.
easyJet operates over 200 aircraft on more than 600 routes, served by over 130 airports in 30 countries.
