Healthcare: Health Program 2021-2027: More than 700 million for infrastructure and services for chronic patients
The ministry of investments and European projects (MIIPE) sent data referring to the Health Programme for the period 2021 – 2027, which includes 700 million euro which will be used for chronic patients.
The quoted source said that investments in long term caring are one of the priorities of the Health Programme 2021 – 2027 and will be directed to the sanitary units which diagnose and treat chronic terminal diseases and provide palliative care for a limited period of time, including terminal patients who need specific healthcare to improve their quality of life.
The budget of over 700 million euro dedicated to this priority means:
-24 sanitary units which supply palliative services, built/rebuilt and equipped;
-20 small public hospitals, municipal and town ones, built/rehabilitated and equipped;
-12 sanitary units which supply rehabilitation/recovery services, reahabilitated and equipped;
-5.146 trained personnel.
‘Investments in the medical part of the long term caring financed through the Health Programme 2021 – 2027 will be completed through interventions with a social component financed through PNRR and through the Programme Inclusion and Social Dignity 2021 – 2027’ said MIPE.
