Healthcare: Diana Paun about drug advertising: It is difficult to control online information

State councillor at Presidential Administration Diana Paun declared, referring to advertising drugs without prescription and food supplements, that it is very difficult to control online information and said a very clear legislative frame was needed. She considers the topic of drug advertising a problem, as it is combining different interests and is in continuous change.

According to Paun it is very important to deal with consumer awareness.

“The law of food supplements is with the Chamber of deputies. We hope it will have the chance to be promulgated because special efforts were made to bring it to the present form. Consumer awareness is very important. We all know how important it is to manage your own health in a responsible way. For that we need adequate communication channels, opinions based on scientific bases coming from convincing persons,” Paun said.
