Eurostat: Romania has the third cheapest meat in EU
Romania recorded the third lowest price level of meat in the European Union in 2017, 40.8 percent below the European Union average, according to data released by Eurostat quoted by http://business-review.eu.
The lowest meat prices were recorded in Poland, with 43.3 percent below the European average, and in Bulgaria with 41.8 percent below the EU average.
At the opposite end, the highest prices of EU meat were recorded in Luembourg, which exceeded the EU level by more than 41 percent. The following places are occupied by Austria and Denmark, with almost 39 percent above the EU average.
Prices higher than the European average were observed in France, Italy and Germany, while levels below this average were recorded in the United Kingdom, Greece and East European countries such as the Czech Republic, Hungary and the Baltic States.
