Eurostat: in 2009 the Romanians spent the most in the EU for food against expenditure for household goods

Food, alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as catering services are 34,1% of the expenditure, according to Eurostat statistics made on the basis of data in 2009. Namely, 26.6% of the expenditure in the house go to food, 2.5% to non-alcoholic beverages, 2.2% to alcohol, 2.8% catering services.
