Estimated growth of balneary tourism in Romania for 2019
The president of OPTBR, Nicu Radulescu, declared at a press conference in Targu Mures, that an increase by 20-30% of the number of tourists is foreseen for 2019. The increase was about 1 million last year.
“I think old markets such as Israel, will come back. Germany will return because big investments are being made on the littoral too. More interesting markets from Asia will start coming to Romania, I refer to Japan, first of all. We could bring people from the Gulf area for anti-aging treatment and other treatments to be introduced in balneary resorts,” Radulescu said
