Constanta port infrastructure can be used to transport goods between Romania and Uzbekistan
Infrastructure of Constanta port can be used for transportation of goods, an area of strategic importance for Romania and Uzbekistan, said the president of the National Authority for Tourism (ANT), Razvan Filipescu, at a meeting organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
On June 26-28, 2013, Razvan Filipescu, together with a delegation of businessmen from Romania, is paying a working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Economy informs in a release.
The Romanian official discussed about the tourism potential of each country, the importance of infrastructure development and the important role of skilled personnel in tourism, but also of promotion of a product or tourist destinations. Also, the Romanian delegation presented the offer of products and services that meet the requirements of Uzbek partners.
The bilateral discussions also referred to the intensification of the economic-commercial relations between the two countries.
ANT President met, on Thursday, with representatives of the Uzbek Government and of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade. Uzbek government officials said they will support Romania for a new term in the Executive Council of the World Tourism Organization for the period 2013-2017. Also, the President of the National Authority for Tourism met with the president of 'Uzbektourism' Farukh Rizaev, on which occasion they discussed opportunities for achieving investment projects in tourism between the two countries and to mutually stimulate investments in tourism infrastructure by attracting investors in the field.
'Romania is aware of the major role of the tourism industry, the important impact on the economic recovery and growth, as well as the high potential of this industry in the global economy. In this respect, we consider the two key forces: globalization and technology, which turns the tourism industry in one of the most dynamic areas of the current civilization. Tourism means jobs, skilled and well trained personnel, business opportunities for small and medium enterprises, renewal of urban and rural areas and, if properly managed, preservation and promotion of the natural heritage and culture of a country ', said Razvan Filipescu.
The Romanian official advanced proposals for initiating collaborations with tour operators in Romania, identification of tour operators, set to organize trips for Uzbek citizens, but also the possibility of Uzbek staff training in institutions in Romania.
Also, Romania will participate in the International Travel Fair, to be held from October 8 to 10, 2013, in Tashkent, during which a Collaboration Agreement between the National Authority for Tourism and Uzbektourism is to be signed.
