Cars: Satistics: 7pct decrease in registrations of new passenger vehicles in Q1

New registrations of road vehicles for passenger transport decreased in the first quarter of the year by 7pct compared to the same period of 2019, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS), published on Tuesday.
Regarding the new registrations of new road vehicles for passenger transport, there was an increase in the category of mopeds and motorcycles by 25.5pct and decreases in the categories of buses and minibuses by 76pct and cars by 21.9pct.
INS data show that new registrations in the segment of road vehicles for the transport of goods decreased in all categories, as follows: tractors - by 16.3pct, trucks (including special purpose road vehicles) - by 4pct and trailers and semi-trailers (- 3.5pct).
