Cars: Dacia car sales in Europe grew by over 9% in first 11 months, 2019
Dacia car sales recorded an increase of 9.1% in Europe in the first 11 months of the year, while the market share of the automobile manufacturer went up to 3.7%, from 3.3%, in the same period of 2018, according to statistics released by the Association of European Automobile Manufactures (AEAM).
Data are available for EU and EFTA countries – Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.
Registrations of Dacia cars in Europe amounted to 532,086 units in the first 11 months of 2019, on the rise compared to the same period of 2018, when 487,908 vehicles were registered.
In November, Dacia car deliveries recorded a drop of 7.2% in Europe, and the market share of the automobile manufacturer dropped to 3.4% from 3.9% in the same period of 2018.
Dacia company was taken over by Renault in 1999. Relaunched in 2004 with the Logan model, Dacia became an important player in the European automobile market.
