At a yield of 7.75 percent, the office market in Bucharest is one of the most attractive in the region
The yield of 7.75 percent makes the capital of Romania one of the most attractive office space markets in the region, according to a study received on Monday.
The office space stock in modern buildings in Bucharest reached 2.219 million square meters, including nearly 7,000 sqm commissioned in Q3. Roughly 71,000 sqm more are expected by the end of the year, and 95,000 sqm in 2015 in the northern and western area of the city only.
The most projects - and the biggest - are in the Pipera neighbourhood in the north. It hosts 66 percent of the development projects in progress in Bucharest.
Major differences persist between sub-areas in terms of vacant spaces - from less than 10 percent in the central business district and the western area, to 15 percent in the north, east and south, and nearly 20 percent in Pipera. This indicator is expected to decrease by 12 to 12.5 percent by the end of 2015.
